TAIN (Agent) Digital Certificates

Introduction

People who process payroll for others (Bookkeepers, Accountants, Bureax etc) and have TAIN digital certificates need to follow a slightly different way of uploading their Digital Certificates. It would be quite laborious to upload a certificate for each individual company.

If you've already uploaded individual certificates under the Revenue menu, you can delete these using Revenue>Digital Cert and the Replace button. Please do this before importing your TAIN certificate, or you'll also delete your TAIN cert and will have to re-upload it in the Bureau screen!

Enabling Bureau

Payback now has a new Bureau screen. OVer the next few months we will be updating this to include new bureau specific features.

To enable this screen:

select Admin>Options>Registration.

Tick the Bureau check box and click update at the top of the screen.

Restart Payback.

Bureau Digital Certificate

A new Bureau icon will appear above the Company icon. Click this to go to the new Bureau screen.

Enter your TAIN number and upload your digital certificate as described here: https://www.payback.ie/support/paye-modernisation/digital-certificates/

Note that you can use a mix of TAIN certificates and non-TAIN certificates with Payback. If a company does not have its own certificate loaded in the Revenue>Digital Cert screen, it will default to the TAIN certificate.
